Iedereen die denkt dat elektronische muziek koud en steriel geprogrammeerd is, heeft nooit gehoord van Suzanne Ciani, die gehecht is aan modulair synthesizers zoals een violist aan zijn Stradivari. Ze is een iconische elektronische muziekverkenner die enorm veel experimentele met synth-muziek die academische en commerciële grenzen overschrijdt. Het is een grote eer om haar voor de eerste keer op Dekmantel Festival te laten spelen.

Haal je gewaad uit de opslag en zorg ervoor dat je in godsnaam gehoorbescherming hebt: de hogepriesters van harde dreunen zetten voet op Amsterdamse bodem. Komen ze nog krachtiger dan Sunn O)))? Nee. Einde van bio.

Let op! Tijdens dit optreden wordt gebruik gemaakt van stroboscopen en rook. Stroboscooplicht kan epileptische aanvallen opwekken bij mensen die daar gevoelig voor zijn (fotosensibele epilepsie). Eveneens wordt het gebruik van gehoorbescherming sterk aanbevolen om gehoorschade te voorkomen.

OCEANIC (LIVE), MATTHEIS (LIVE) & OBERMAN (NOUS'KLAER AUDIO SHOWCASE)
Sinds de eerste release in 2013, houdt het Rotterdamse label Nous'klaer Audio zich bezig met clubmuziek die emotioneel wordt aangewakkerd en garant staat voor extatische euforie op de dansvloer. Met een speciale Nous'klaer Audio Showcase voor het Dekmantel Festival, presenteren drie van de kernleden een hybrid set-up, met Oceanic en Mattheis, en labelbaas Oberman voor de DJ-taken.

THE COMET IS COMING
Het Londense trio Shabaka Hutchings (Sons of Kemet), Danalogue the Conqueror en Betamax Killer vormen een Sun-Ra-meets-Frank-Zappa-achtige kosmische psych-jazz-kracht, ver uit dit universum. Terwijl de komeet eraan komt, is hun hoge en levendige geluid fris, ongepolijst en woest energiek.

YVES TUMOR
De muzikale output van Yves Tumor is niet in te delen net zoals zijn esthetiek. De in Tennessee geboren artiest vult de gaten tussen meerdere maar niet-gedefinieerde genres en stijlen, terwijl zijn live uitvoeringen iedereen vragend en / of in totale wanhoop houdt. Niet voor angsthazen.
