Moor Mother + Sophia

Voor Camae Ayewa zijn poëzie, politiek, muziek en leven één. Gewapend met een muzikaal platform genaamd Moor Mother, spuwt ze verpletterende woorden van woede. Voor de in Philadelphia gevestigde kunstenaar is woede dan ook geen gevoel dat je moet onderdrukken, het is iets dat je moet benutten en exploiteren. In haar single After Images die ze eerder dit jaar uitbracht,  uit ze haar frustratie met gekmakend stemgeluimd doordrenkt in noise.

For the Philadelphia-based artist, anger is not a feeling to be suppressed, it is something to be commodified. In her single After Images, released earlier this year, she kindles frustration with frantic phonetics wading through viscous noise.
