IJ-Salon 25/26

Each IJ-Salon is a surprise

IJ-Salon is top-level chamber music and a joyful musical laboratory at the same time. Artistic leader Michael Gieler and his colleagues at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra are breaking new ground in classical music. The musicians are working in close collaboration with Alan Land. Once a soloist at the National Ballet, he now dedicates himself primarily to visual arts. Together they combine art with wonderful music, philosophy and dance. Each IJ-Salon is a surprise.

Twenty years of IJ-Salon
For twenty years, Michael Gieler has been the driving force behind IJ-Salon. For the anniversary season, he asked five younger colleagues to develop exciting ideas for new programmes. They created five musical adventures for all those who love to explore music.
