Solo works and duets for piano and percussion

Two talented prizewinners share the stage. Percussionist Agostinho Sequeira, winner of the 2020 TROMP competition, joins forces with pianist Shane van Neerden, recipient of the 2024 Dutch Classical Talent Award. Together they present a program centered around the theme of ritual, featuring both solo works and duets.

With the tight and playful rhythms of Hurel, the raw intensity of Xenakis’ two Rebonds, and the refined, focused sound world of Nasopoulou—whose brand-new piece for solo percussion will receive its premiere this afternoon—this performance promises a colorful and exciting experience, shared with the audience in full devotion.

This concert takes place at the Plein Theatre as part of the Nieuwe Noten Amsterdam series.
