In love with the recorder and baroque music

Young recorder player Lucie Horsch was only twelve years old when she was already studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. So it’s obvious that Lucie is teeming with talent. But she herself says she was also very lucky. Her father Gregor is first solo cellist in the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Music was therefore instilled in her from an early age. Now it’s her mission to introduce music to as many young people as possible.

Lucie has been in love with the recorder and baroque music all her life. When she started playing the recorder, everyone thought she would switch to another instrument after a few years. But she couldn’t get enough of it. However, she has been combining playing the recorder with playing the piano and singing for several years now - she will do both in this concert. Still, the recorder remains her first love.

After the concert: InstrumentLAB on Foyerdeck 1. Try out several instruments, with the help of teachers from Muziekschool Amsterdam.
