SoundLAB workshop

Ever heard of a MODi, Dato or Toonpad? In our SoundLAB workshop you will be introduced to wonderful instruments. Anyone can make music with it.

SoundLAB is located in a hidden corner of the Muziekgebouw. A laboratory with more than 100 interactive electronic and acoustic instruments, with which you can gain experience with sound art, musical improvisation, electronic music and composing through playing and experimenting.

Specially designed
The installations were designed and built especially for SoundLAB by sound artists such as Yuri Landman and Akim Moiseenkov. Create your own soundscape with motion sensors or magnetic fields, or discover one of our special synthesizers, all in an unusual design. Every month there is a workshop in which you explore a world of sound together.
