Queyras is vurig pleitbezorger van Amy’s celloconcert 

Al jaren is publiekslieveling Jean-Guihen Queyras een vurig pleitbezorger van het celloconcert van de Franse componist Gilbert Amy. En nu gaat het gebeuren. In het jaar waarin Amy 80 jaar wordt, brengen Queyras en het Symfonieorkest van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam het celloconcert van Amy voor het eerst in Nederland tot klinken.

Gilbert Amy schreef ook een fraai cellokwartet. Dat wordt gespeeld door de Biënnale Cello Band. De meest jazzy componist onder de Nederlandse componisten Guus Janssen zorgt ongetwijfeld voor een contrastrijke wereldpremière met de winnaar van het Nationaal Cello Concours 2014, Anton Mecht Spronk als solist en Score Collective.
