France Musique has already called her ‘one of the greatest talents of the new generation’. And The Sunday Times praised her as ‘the possessor of a superb technique and a true artist’. It’s therefore high time to present this pianist from a very musical family in the Piano series, with a solo recital that is equally beautiful as it is challenging. Her programme, which ranges from Rameau to Fauré’s rarely heard Thème et variations, Debussy’s Images, and Rachmaninov, is a tour de force that exceeds all expectations.

French-born Nathalia Milstein, sister of violinist Maria, hails from a Russian family of musicians. Her grandfather was a renowned pianist and teacher who taught many of the world’s leading pianists, including Bella Davidovich and Elisabeth Leonskaja. Nathalia learned the craft from her father, Nelson Goerner, and András Schiff. Since her breakthrough after winning the Dublin International Piano Competition in 2015, she has been consistently praised for her ‘well-rounded, characterful, and technically masterful playing’, as the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant wrote about her latest solo CD Visions Fugitives.
