Bach's immortal masterpiece

For over a century, the Nederlandse Bachvereniging has delighted audiences with an annual performance of one of Bach’s most beloved works: the St Matthew Passion. This year, the esteemed German conductor Hans-Christoph Rademann leads the ensemble. Betrayal, condemnation, death, but above all love. Although the text of the St Matthew Passion is centuries old, the story and the message are still relevant today. And Bach’s masterful music continues to touch us, year after year.

With Rademann, Bach’s masterpiece is in good hands. This true Bach man looks for a contemporary, new approach with each St Matthew Passion he performs. While always respecting the monumental character of the work. For decades, Rademann has reigned as one of Germany’s most acclaimed choral conductors.
