A spiritual connection with the audience

Emotional and philosophical considerations are at the heart of the Øsimun Quartet’s repertoire. On stage, the saxophone quartet, finalist of the 2023 Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours, creates an almost spiritual bond with the audience. In this eclectic, unique programme, the cyclical and the celestial take centre stage.

The jury of Dutch Classical Talent about the Øsimun Quartet: ‘This young Spanish saxophone quartet impresses with their beautiful ensemble sound. At times fiery, then again tender and transparent. Free from preconceptions, they throw themselves into the music, letting it wash over them.’

Dutch Classical Talent
Dutch Classical Talent is a promotional programme for talented young Dutch musicians. Laureates include Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer, Nora Fischer, the Van Baerle Trio and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet, to name but a few noteworthy names. Talent in itself is not enough to make it to the finals of Dutch Classical Talent. Participants are expected to present unique and stimulating programs, a clear vision and a touch of boldness.
