What is normal? Who decides what’s normal? And isn’t normal actually rather boring? In Creatures of habit, Percossa explores the invisible rules of human behavior. The unspoken agreements that are never written down, yet everyone follows them. Because that’s just the way it’s done. Otherwise, it’s strange. But who decided that in the first place?

Creatures of habit is a highly physical, language-light, and wildly playful musical performance in which rhythm tells the story. About who you are when everyone does the same. And what happens when you decide to do something different. With humor and razor-sharp timing, Percossa transforms everyday objects into sound and music, revealing our fixed patterns. For anyone who is sometimes just normal, or sometimes wonderfully strange.

For the youngest children, there is a musical play area on Foyerdeck 3 before and after concerts in the Kleine Zaal. It’s a great way to get in the mood or just have some fun. For children ages 4 and up, there are various activities throughout the building after performances in the Grote Zaal. Become a composer in 15 minutes, explore the artists’ trail, or make your own musical instrument.
