SoundLAB on Tour
To introduce as many people as possible to our unique instruments, the Muziekgebouw has developed SoundLAB on Tour. This allows schools and interested parties who are unable to visit the Muziekgebouw to experiment with our unique collection of instruments.
Mobile sound system
A special travel edition of the SoundLAB has been developed for these workshops: the SLOR (In Dutch: SoundLAB Op Reis). The SLOR set is a mobile sound system to which the SoundLAB’s unique instruments can be connected. The sets can also be played using headphones. This allows participants from far and wide to discover our instruments, and under the guidance of a SoundLAB workshop leader, they create their own compositions.
SoundLAB on Tour has previously been a guest at venues including WOW Amsterdam, various asylum seeker centres in collaboration with Stichting de Vrolijkheid, Nemo, TivoliVredenburg, November Music, Oranjewoud Festival, Future Village Festival and the Korean Arts & Culture Education Service (KACES) in Seoul.
