Total theatre on just five square metres

But whatever happens there will be music (Dutch spoken) is the refrain of Ischa Meijer's Winter toes, lice and eczema typhoid and cancer and flu, Olga's favourite song. It became the title of this programme by actress Olga Zuiderhoek about her 20th century. She wanted Gerard Bouwhuis for the music, which is what it's all about: Bartók, Antheil, Andriessen, Breuker, Gershwin, Johnny & Jones and, of course, Stravinsky. They let the dead play along: Gerard plays piano with Breuker, Olga sings with Ischa.

Total theatre on 5 square metres: text, music and images, often funny, sometimes ferociously sad, but either way: there will be music! Gerard plays and Olga tells why. 'The 20th century has two world wars, I missed them both, how lucky can you get?'
