Amsterdam Sinfonietta consists of 22 top musicians playing together as one. Led by artistic director Candida Thompson, the orchestra tours all over the world with adventurous programmes and crossovers with other musical genres and art forms.
With tremendous drive, Amsterdam Sinfonietta has developed into the Netherlands’ leading string orchestra and an orchestra of world-class reputation. It performs its own genre and innovates it at the highest level. Since the beginning, the orchestra has embraced the entire repertoire for string orchestra, from classics to newly commissioned works and arrangements.
