Film and live music

From horror to true crime

Bloodlust, murderous lust and deadly jealousy: these film concerts take you through the darkest caverns of the human mind. Newly composed and improvised scores add power to the drama and undercurrent of tension. Three classics of silent cinema, from horror to true crime, selected in partnership with Eye.

Light and dark motifs from the classical repertoire of the 1920s resound in Olga Pashchenko’s accompaniment to the vampire classic Nosferatu; Alexandre Tharaud improvises live to Orlac’s Hände, a thriller about a tormented concert pianist; and composer Igor C Silva, together with ensemble Lucilin, performs a new electroacoustic score to the Portuguese murder mystery O táxi n.o 9297 (inspired by true events).
