Recap 12-14 September 2025
A dazzling performance installation throughout the building
What happens when you ‘relocate’ a traditional three-day Greek rural festival to the modern surroundings of the Muziekgebouw? From September 12 to 14, the Muziekgebouw was transformed into the elusive world of Nightwater, the new production by composer and director Thanasis Deligiannis.
Accompanied by live music from Ensemble Klang, two Greek singers, and a clarinetist, the audience wandered through a dreamlike environment filled with videos, electronics, and soundscapes. Industrial, urban, and rural elements merged into a fascinating illusion. On Saturday, Deena Abdelwahed (DJ) and Zohar (DJ) brought the installation to life in The Rest is Noise, blurring the boundaries between installation art, club culture, and soundscapes.
