With your contribution, you make it possible for us to keep programming music, and you help musicians to keep playing. You also support our special musical projects, SoundLAB, and the creation of new compositions.
Becoming a Friend
When you support us as a Friend of the Muziekgebouw, you can choose to have the amount debited from your account on a monthly basis or all at once at the beginning of the season. From an annual contribution of €50 we offer you, as a Friend of the Muziekgebouw, various benefits.

• Invitations to special Friends Events
• The opportunity to purchase tickets for the new season before the general public has access to them
• You will receive the Friends magazine DichtbIJ (in Dutch)
€150 or more
• All the above benefits, plus:
• An invitation to a special extra activity every season
€500 or more
• All the above benefits, plus:
• Invitation to exclusive evening: the Musical Salon in the Grand Hall
€1,000 or more
• All the above benefits, plus:
• Invitation to the Season Opening or a Festival Opening of the Muziekgebouw
The contributions of our Friends help us make projects such as the following possible:
• Special artistic programmes: the biannual Minimal Music Festival and composer festivals such as the Kurtág Festival (March 2023) and Pärt Festival (March 2022).
• Commissioned compositions: Muziekgebouw contributes to the development of music by awarding several commissions to composers each season (thanks in part to support from Ammodo).
• Educational projects: in our very own SoundLAB, children and teenagers are introduced to contemporary music. And our talent development programme gives a stage to promising young musicians.
Leaving a legacy
It is possible to include Muziekgebouw in your will. You will in that case receive the same privileges as Friends who contribute €1,000 or more. To discuss leaving a legacy, please contact Marieke Ammerlaan (relationship management).
Tax advantages
The Muziekgebouw has the cultural ANBI status, which means that you can deduct a large part of your (one-off or recurrent) donation from your Dutch income tax. On www.anbigift.nl/muziekgebouw you will find a calculation tool to quickly see your tax advantage. In addition, the Muziekgebouw is completely exempt from Dutch inheritance tax, which means that a gift from an inheritance will fully benefit the objective.
