De iconische film Faust met een bewerkte score van Franz Liszt

Previous projects revolved around Romeo and Juliet and Charlie Chaplin. For this new film concert, however, the NBE presents the gripping, iconic silent film Faust (1926).

Goethe’s story about the 16th-century scholar and alchemist Faust who sells his soul to the devil is fantastic and dramatic. F.W. Murnau’s film features special effects that were highly advanced in 1926. As film score, the NBE performs Franz Liszt’s Eine Faust-Symphonie, arranged and remixed for wind instruments.
