A dream world of sounds and images

The Big Bang from Also sprach Zarathustra is the beginning of the Pynarello version of the story of the ancient Persian prophet. The Pynarello ensemble presents a multifaceted exploration of the wonderful world of Strauss, featuring new compositions by its members and improvisations by guests from various parts of the world. Meanwhile, Vincent Rang creates live visuals with an aquarium. The result is a dream world of sounds and images that symbolizes the versatility and creativity of Pynarello.

The Pynarello orchestra, founded by violinist Van Straalen, has made a name for itself with its informal stage presence and its ability to perform everything without a conductor and from memory. Their work has consistently yielded a wealth of programmes that both thrill and move audiences. Julian Schneemann’s appointment as artistic leader ushers in a new era of exciting and diverse programming for Pynarello. The addition of Sinan Arat’s ney (reedflute) and the use of hallucinogenic visuals are just two examples of Pynarello’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of musical performance.
