A DÚO

Singer, guitarist, and composer María Marín is an exciting new voice in the flamenco world. In her own unique way, she blends a variety of influences, from authentic flamenco to jazz and classical. Before touring the Netherlands this autumn, tonight she takes the stage with another musical polymath, trumpeter Antonio Moreno Glazkov, for their first-ever performance together. Together they create an original soundscape.

Marín studied classical guitar in Seville and The Hague, and it was in the Netherlands that she fell in love with the flamenco from her home country. Not only does she combine the worlds of flamenco and classical, she also sings her own lyrics, in which an echo of the poet Federico García Lorca resonates. Trumpeter Moreno is influenced by modern composers such as Olivier Messiaen and Igor Stravinsky as well as by folk and jazz – and of course flamenco.

Bad weather?
In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, the performance will be held indoors in the Entrance Hall, which overlooks the river IJ. 

Keep in mind: the sun can be intense and the wind can be quite strong near the water, so come prepared.
