Totaaltheater op 5 vierkante meter

But whatever happens there will be music (Dutch spoken) is the refrain of Ischa Meijer's Winter toes, lice and eczema typhoid and cancer and flu, Olga's favourite song. It became the title of this programme by actress Olga Zuiderhoek about music from her 20th century. She wanted Gerard Bouwhuis for the music, which is what it's all about: Bartók, Antheil, Andriessen, Breuker, Gershwin, Johnny & Jones and, of course, Stravinsky. They let the dead play along: Gerard plays with Breuker, Olga sings with Ischa.

Total theatre on 5 square metres: text, music and images, often funny, sometimes ferociously sad, but either way: there will be music! Gerard plays and Olga tells why. 'The 20th century has two world wars, I missed them both, how lucky can you get?'

The performance has been adapted for 4 and 5 May. With more about and by Ischa Meijer from Olga Zuiderhoek's archive and stories about Abel Herzberg, who enriched her with his wisdom.

Please note
- This performance is spoken in Dutch
- At the express request of the players, please do not bring children to the performance.
