No man is an island

In the whirlwind of modern life, the Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet looks for silence. Their latest programme explores the tension between isolation and connectedness, between inner peace and the starkness of emptiness. The Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet is a young and energetic chamber music ensemble that was founded in 2019. Hailing from four different parts of the world, they found each other in the culturally vibrant city of Amsterdam.

Dutch Classical Talent
Dutch Classical Talent is a promotional programme for talented young Dutch musicians. Laureates include Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer, Nora Fischer, the Van Baerle Trio and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet, to name but a few noteworthy names. Talent in itself is not enough to make it to the finals of Dutch Classical Talent. Participants are expected to present unique and stimulating programmes, a clear vision and a touch of boldness.
