Equinox

Woodcraft’s unique blend resists categorisation, but will definitely hook you. These five friends compose their own music, moving freely between genres, from classical to folk and from jazz to minimalist. Their secret weapon? An irresistibly engaging synergy, perfected through years of busking and improvisation. Influences: jazz god Herbie Hancock, classical icon Igor Stravinsky, banjo phenomenon Bela Fleck. The goal: a vibrant musical celebration.

Woodcraft already impressed at the Muziekgebouw Terrace Concerts two years ago. They also performed at the Cello Biennale, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Grachtenfestival. The year 2022 marked a milestone when Woodcraft swept both the jury and audience awards at the Dutch Jazz Competition in the Bimhuis. Their second studio album, Equinox, featuring twelve inventive and playful new tracks, was released in March 2025.

Outdoor concert
This Terrace Concert is an outdoor event. The sun can be intense and the wind can be quite strong near the water, so come prepared. In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, the performance will be held indoors in the Entrance Hall, which overlooks the river IJ.
