It’s time for a festive revolution

Brace yourself, chin up, clear your throat. It’s time for a festive revolution, it’s time for FEST! Nearly a hundred years ago, in Anarchy Explained to Children, José Antonio Emmanuel wrote that life ought to be the free expression of one’s talents, defined by spontaneity and absolute liberty. That is the spirit Junior Akwety, Jochem Baelus and Lotte Vanhamel are bringing to the stage: they invite the young audience to rewrite the rules together.

FEST is set to be an explosion of musical anarchy: from ritual percussion to spellbinding vocals, and from distorted sounds to sonic blasts. Congolese songs, rumba, Bantu-electronica, deep house, hip-hop and rap will inspire the audience to forge a new world: fearless, free and spontaneous. A musical celebration, a positive revolution, an ode to experimentation. A lasting impact for all who attend.
