The Fokker organ as a 'hyper organ'

Automatic register changes, fluttering sound patterns and sliding transitions between tone, noise and more. Gamut inc is reinventing the Muziekgebouw’s iconic Fokker organ. The German duo uses the instrument like a ‘hyper-organ’, a giant synthesizer and sampler. The result is a sound that is, in every sense, unprecedented.

The duo gamut inc can be described as a retro-futuristic ensemble. Marion Wörle and Maciej Śledziecki specialize in pipe organs that are operated by computer. The result is a sound that evokes 1950s electronica, infused with a 21st-century touch. Gamut inc tours the world showcasing new repertoire for these ‘hyper-organs’.

This concert is part of Dynamic Organ Colloquium (Orgelpark in Amsterdam, Sat 28 Nov - Mon 30 Nov 2026).
