Engaged music set to texts by a legendary mystic

Public rehearsal for the new work by composer Zad Moultaka. This composition was written with support of Ammodo.

The new work by French-Lebanese composer Zad Moultaka is based on texts by Mansur Al-Hallaj, the legendary Sufi mystic, poet, and martyr. In the refined sounds of the harpsichord Al-Hallaj’s mystical philosophy is given its own contemporary, engaged voice.

World premiere
The commissioned work will have its world premiere on Thursday 4 March at 20:15 during the concert by the Nederlands Kamerkoor and Mahan Esfahani conducted by Burak Onur Erdem.
