Pinocchio (7+)

Pinocchio begins, like every child, as a blank slate — in her case, as a blank block of wood. But she has barely received her legs when she abandons her father Geppetto and immediately gets herself into all sorts of trouble. 
 
Mevrouw van der Vos (Mrs. Fox), Meneer Kats (Mr. Cat) and Meneer Das (Mr. Badger) become her companions, charming her with their lively, captivating stories. But can she truly trust them? Time and again, she must choose: chasing fun and living carelessly, or being sensible and working hard? Spinning a beautiful tale or telling the unpleasant truth? From her friends, Pinocchio learns the supposed advantages of lying - until she realizes that she herself is being deceived as well.
