Het Muziek (formerly known as Asko|Schönberg) is the leading ensemble for new music and ensemble in residence of Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. Its key pillars are exceptional quality, daring experimentation, and innovative programmes that reflect today’s world.
Through a comprehensive network of musicians, conductors, composers, versatile young creators, and partners across artistic fields, Het Muziek contributes to the ‘making of now’. From its Amsterdam home base, the ensemble performs all over the world. Both the top collection of major 20th-century composers and brand-new 21st-century work are performed on concert stages, at festivals and in interdisciplinary performances.
