Julian Lage Trio

Julian Lage verovert de jazzwereld met zijn onopgesmukte, melodierijke gitaarklank, waarin typisch Amerikaanse stijlen als swing, bluegrass en rock-’n-roll verweven zijn. De prijswinnende gitarist is verbonden aan het legendarische jazzlabel Blue Note, waarop hij al verschillende albums uitbracht. In zijn band speelt hij met de crème de la crème van de jazzscene uit New York.

Al op zeer jonge leeftijd kreeg Julian Lage erkenning van grootheden als Santana en Gary Burton. Zijn leermeester werd Jim Hall, een van de meest invloedrijke jazzgitaristen aller tijden. In de afgelopen jaren vond Julian Lage zijn weg in talrijke genres van traditionele jazz en country tot avant-garde, in samenwerking met onder anderen Bill Frisell, Chris Thile en John Zorn.
