Label en radioshow Lullabies for Insomniacs toont de nieuwsgierigheid en verwondering van Izabel Caligiore. Haar dj-sets zijn een verzameling van obscure parels van over de hele wereld met een bijzondere belangstelling voor onafhankelijke elektronische muziek en melodieuze geluidskunst.

Suzanne Kraft (live) (21.00 uur) 
Diego Herrera aka Suzanne Kraft is één van de drijvende krachten achter dublab, en tegenwoordig ook Red Light Radio. Zijn zonovergoten muziek kan alleen als bedwelmend worden omschreven. Op het Online Radio Festival zal hij voor één keer een zelden te horen live set spelen.

BEA1991 (live) (22.15 uur)
BEA1991’s zwoele R&B elektro-composities hebben een zeldzaam popgevoel. Haar liveoptredens kennen een vergelijkbare kwaliteit: zorgvuldig gecomponeerd voor een maximaal dramatisch effect. Voor deze gelegenheid vormt zij haar radioshow op Red Light Radio om tot een live-performance. Met haar unieke stem, samples en platen creëert ze een typische BEA1991-collage.

Lord Tusk (live) (23.00 uur)
Er is weinig bekend over NTS-regular Lord Tusk. Wat we wel weten is dat hij zich in London begeeft in kringen van Funkineven, (ex-)Hype Williams, en heeft samengewerkt met Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUhjWtuufkU. Zijn releases houden zich ergens tussen rokerige psychedelische dub, slow-mo house en electro, en klinken als een liefdesbaby tussen Sun Ra en Legowelt. Live toont hij een voorliefde voor rauwe onheilspellende jams en stuwende drumcomputers.

Not Waving (live) (00.00 uur)
De literaire betekenis van ‘Not Waving’ verwijst naar een sinister misverstand: de laatste bewegingen van een verdrinkende zwemmer worden vaak geïnterpreteerd als zwaaien. Het is deze twijfelachtige menselijke perceptie die Alessio Natalizia gebruikt: van acid, ambient, EDM, trance tot donkere noise. Niets is wat het lijkt. Eén element staat als een paal boven water: Not Waving maakt intens dansbare clubmuziek.

Orpheu the Wizard! b2b Nosedrip (DJ-set) (01.00 - 03.00 uur)
Ziggy de Vriendt en Orpheu de Jong delen als head-honcho’s van Stroom en Red Light Radio een grote liefde voor het eclectische. Samen sluiten ze de avond af met een back-to-back set. Nosedrip neigt naar exotica, lo-fi en andere gems. Orpheu the Wizard! heeft een voorliefde voor funky synths, wave en house en bezit het zeldzame talent om te voelen wat de dansvloer wilt horen. Samen vormen zij een uiterst dansbare combinatie.

A radio show turned label, Lullabies for Insomniacs is a testament to Izabel Caligiore’s sense of wonder and curiosity. Her mixes are a collection of leftfield pieces from around the world, with a particular interest in independent electronic music, sound art and delicate sonic emissions.

Suzanne Kraft (live)
One of the creative brains at dublab, Diego Herrera aka Suzanne Kraft is never at a standstill; he absorbs influences and ideas just like his music soaks up the sun. Infatuated with melody, his productions can only be described as intoxicating, any other labels would be misleading. However, you should expect an electric guitar in this live set.

BEA1991 (live)
Possessing a rare pop sensibility, BEA1991’s smooth compositions and sophisticated modulations are immediately striking, verging on the sublime. Her live sets have acquired the same arresting element, being carefully calibrated for maximum dramatic effect. For this occasion, she will transform her show on Red Light Radio into a live performance merging her unique vocals, samples and vinyl records into an improvised sound collage.

Lord Tusk (live)
Little is known about NTS selector Lord Tusk. Self-described as ‘a fine connoisseur of Audio Waves,’ you are sure to recognize him from his cosmic sci-fi effects, booming vintage electro or smoky, psychedelic dub. Though difficult to place — digi-dub, slow-mo house, new beat, electro — he displays a predisposition for rough-edged jams, ominous synths and hefty machine drum rhythms.

Not Waving (live)
The literary reference in his name alludes to a sinister misunderstanding: a swimmer who is thought to be waving is in fact drowning. It’s a perceptual error that extends to Alessio Natalizia’s exploits: his richly textured blend of EBM, acid and ambient sounds are overtaken by unsettling industrial bleakness and fierce droning noise. His off-kilter club music has found a welcoming home at Powell’s label, Diagonal; needless to say, things have taken a dark turn.

Nosedrip & Orpheu the Wizard! (DJ-set)
Sharing a love for the eclectic, Stroom’s Ziggy Devriendt and Red Light Radio’s Orpheu de Jong will play a back to back set. Nosedrip has been known to venture into exotica and lo-fi, unearthing obscure gems with a rare dexterity. Orpheu the Wizard! has an inclination for funky synths, wave, and house, effortlessly put together in experimental mixes. Together, they make for an extremely danceable combination.
