Virtuoso violin music with the ‘queen of the baroque violin’

‘Queen of the Baroque violin’ Rachel Podger leads and incites the Nederlandse Bachvereniging. Instrumental fireworks with one of the best Baroque violinists of our time. Italian composer and violinist Arcangelo Corelli was to the concerto grosso what Beethoven was to the symphony. Their works established them as guiding lights for other composers. 

In this programme, Rachel Podger shows how far Corelli’s influence reached: far beyond the borders of Italy into France and Germany. Virtuoso music by Handel, Lully, and others, featuring stunning performances by Podger and the instrumental stars of the Nederlandse Bachvereniging.
