Troubadours

The Netherlands Wind Ensemble plays in all parts of the country with music and soloists from all parts of the world. In Troubadours, the starring role goes to bowed string instruments. In addition to the cello and voice of Japanese-Brazilian Chieko Donker Duyvis and French-Algerian Nesrine, we hear the Cretan lyra and the Mongolian morin khuur or horsehead fiddle, combined with Mongolian throat singing.
