Joris Luyendijk presentation

A musical and poetic evening that seeks not to explain, but to move

In the successful series Welcome in Calefax Land, the world-renowned reed quintet Calefax invites a special guest each year - someone with a love for music. In this fifth edition, that guest is anthropologist and writer Joris Luyendijk.

He has written on a wide range of topics, including the Middle East, the financial world, and socio-political issues such as populism. In this performance, he explores giftedness. Calefax performs music by, among others, Bach and Nancarrow, who are known for their masterful musical structures.

Sinan Can was initially scheduled to take part in this program, but is unable to attend due to a busy schedule.
