His songs are belted out far beyond the Turkish borders: Levent Yüksel has been an icon of Turkish pop for over three decades. Timeless hits like Zalim, Ya Sonra and Tuana are etched into the collective memory, right down to every sob and vocal inflection. His catchy melodies reveal both a solid musical background and a deep respect for tradition. 
  
Singer Levent Yüksel left an indelible mark on Turkish popular music with his debut album Med Cezir (1993), which was a huge commercial success. He studied double bass at the conservatory and became known for his collaboration with singer Sezen Aksu. Today, he performs with his energetic band, known for their compelling arrangements interspersed with colourful instrumental impulses.
