What does celebrating together sound like?

A blue one with a cape made of sleeves. A grey warrior with paper muscles. A mega-yellow magician, and a red one with a hundred strings. Oh, and don’t forget Guy! Let’s hope everything goes well... When they lock their superpower forces together, magic happens – the kind that only comes around once every hundred and five years! Before you know it, you’ve been whisked away to another world. You hear music. It’s getting closer and closer. Four musicians are playing, celebrating something special. Now that is a party!

In Vijf! (Five!), the musicians of the Oorkaan Ensemble perform a cheerful, theatrical concert without words, full of (un)recognisable sounds, movement and humour. They take you on quite a journey, packed with Turkish sounds, Mozart, and more. And it all ends with a party. Vijf!, co-directed by Caecilia Thunnissen and Yorick Stam, is a festive anniversary remake of the performance Vier! (Four!) – perfect for anyone from ages 5 to 105.

We regret to announce that the performance Vogelkind en Mammoetboom (Bird Child and Sequoia Tree) has been cancelled due to personal circumstances within the artistic team. Ticketholders will be notified.

A co-production of Oorkaan and Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ.
