Personal stories of biological and chosen families, told through music and dance

During Amsterdam Pride Month, the Amsterdam Gay Men’s Chorus (AMSGMC) returns to the Muziekgebouw for their big summer show, Welcome to the Family! In a vibrant and heartwarming performance, 100 singers and dancers will explore the nature of relationships within the queer community—both with their biological families and their chosen ones. The show will spotlight personal stories from Chorus members, highlighting themes of love, acceptance and conflicts.

AMSGMC is the largest LGBTQ+ choir in the Netherlands, made up of gay, bi, and queer men from over 30 nationalities. With a repertoire featuring hits by iconic artists such as George Michael, Annie Lennox, Lady Gaga, and Janet Jackson, Welcome to the Family! invites everyone to celebrate family relationships of all kinds.
