CELLOFEST: Common Features

Since 2010, Orchestre Partout has created programmes with asylum seekers, permit holders, and Dutch peers. Orchestre Partout and Cello Octet Amsterdam meet each other in Common Features, in the vast no man’s land between far away cultures. An expedition to find a new sound, a shared existence which reflects and transcends the individuality of wide-ranging musicians.

Oene van Geel has composed music with passionate melodies, catchy rhythms, and lots of room for improvisation. This programme from 2022 is complemented with new compositions and improvisations for CELLOFEST.
