After five years of experimenting across changing bands and genres, and an intensive period of self-reflection, Wendy Eisenberg has reached a major milestone. The self-titled album Wendy Eisenberg gathers poetic folk songs with a daring form: by the artist’s own account, their most certain vision yet. Tonight, Eisenberg brings this new music to the Bimhuis.
For over a decade, Wendy Eisenberg has been a fixture of independent music. As a singer-songwriter, improviser and virtuoso guitarist, Eisenberg’s artistic terrain shifts continuously: from art-rock and jazz to blistering free improv and powerful folk. Standouts in a substantial discography include the album Auto (2020) and the free-jazz record Viewfinder(2024).
