Young all-female ensemble presents refined mix of classical and pop

The young American vocal group Lyyra, with its all-female voices, presents a programme that spans from the Renaissance to modern times, inviting the listener to lose themselves in the music. Their repertoire is a refined mix of old and new classical works, supplemented with arrangements of pop, folk, and jazz music. Let your everyday worries melt away; it is going to be an evening of pure beauty. Mobile phones off, and indulge.

Lyyra takes its name from the constellation Lyra, a nod to the mythical instrument of Orpheus, the legendary singer from antiquity. The ensemble is part of the VOCES8 Foundation, the educational and artistic branch of the internationally acclaimed British vocal ensemble VOCES8, recognized for its innovative take on choral music. Lyyra’s programme transports the listener from the 16th-century Italian princess, nun and musician Leonore d’Este, to the pop star Billie Eilish.
