The String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam will see its fifth edition in 2026. Once every two years, Amsterdam’s storied Muziekgebouw becomes a hotspot for world-class and young emerging string quartets, composers, renowned soloists, guest speakers, and curious listeners. Artists and audience mingle freely between events in the building’s striking public spaces, with dramatic views over the river and city skyline. The SQBA is a true laboratory of unbounded creativity and discovery for both string quartet devotees and newcomers to the genre. As The Guardian said, “it’s Quartet Disney World!”

Day ticket
With a day ticket, you receive a 25% discount on all concerts* on that day. Order your day ticket online.
* The passe-partout or day ticket consists of all concerts available (i.e. not sold out).
Festival discount
Buy tickets for at least three concerts and receive a festival discount. The more concerts you choose, the higher the discount**:
• 20% discount for three, four or five different concerts
• 25% discount for six or more different concerts
** The discount applies to the normal admission price and cannot be combined with the Stadspas and CJP rate or other discount promotions.
