Oneohtrix Point Never

In de afgelopen acht jaar bracht Oneohtrix Point Never zeven LP's uit, waarvan er geen een voor de ander onderdoet. De gemene deler: synthesizers op synthesizers op synthesizers. Soms stoffig en weemoedig, als van een oude cassette, op andere momenten flitsend en futuristisch. Sinds 2013 komen zijn albums uit op het legendarische Warp, thuisbasis van Boards of Canada en Aphex Twin. Met recht, geen enkele artiest treedt zo sterk en eigenzinnig in hun voetsporen als Oneohtrix Point Never.

Op zijn laatste album Garden of Delete vermengt Oneohtrix Point Never vervormde stemmen met lagen synthesizers, een incidenteel orgel en donderende heavy metalreferenties. Eerder werkte hij samen met Fennesz en Tim Hecker, en voor de nabije toekomst staat er een album in de planning met Antony Hegarty (van Antony and the Johnsons) waar hij als producer aan werkte met Hudson Mohawke. Naast een geniale componist is Oneohtrix Point Never ook een fantastische live-muzikant, die als geen ander zijn albumgeluid naar de Grote Zaal kan vertalen.

GIGI MASIN
Als support-act treedt de Italiaanse producer Gigi Masin op. Gigi Masin verwierf Nederlandse bekendheid met zijn samenwerking met Young Marco als Gaussian Curve en de herontdekking van zijn eerdere albums Wind en The Wind Collector als het recente compilatiealbum Talk to the Sea op het Amsterdam label Music from Memory.
