For young and not so young flamenco fans, we are organising an exciting workshop for children and adults in collaboration with the Flamenco Biennale. Flamenco is music full of exciting rhythms that give the music its characteristic sound. Those rhythms sometimes sound complicated, but anyone can learn them.
In this workshop, participants get to work under the guidance of professional percussionist Claudio Spieler. First by clapping, as in real flamenco. Then we take the cajóns (a percussion box) and SoundLAB instruments and turn flamenco rhythms into our own piece of music.
