Izaline Calister, Ed Verhoeff + Ellister van der MolenSuper-trio performs delightful Curaçaoan jazz by Izaline Calister
Sat 15 Aug 2026With her charismatic stage presence and warm vocals, Izaline Calister has a way of wrapping every audience around her finger – as her countless hits and sold-out concerts clearly attest. Izaline has shared a deep musical bond with guitarist Ed Verhoeff for over fifteen years. Tonight, they perform with the up-and-coming trumpeter Ellister van der Molen. While the exact set list remains a surprise, these three top-tier musicians guarantee an enchanting evening of both exhilarating dance tracks and tender ballads.
The music of Izaline Calister is a delightful fusion of jazz, Afro-Caribbean influences, and the traditional sounds of her native Curaçao – a signature style that earned her an Edison Award in 2009. Ed Verhoeff has been wowing global audiences for a quarter of a century with his warm, intuitive guitar playing. Ellister van der Molen performs in numerous bands and orchestras and was recently presented with the Jerry van Rooyen Award for top musicians in the Dutch jazz scene who deserve greater recognition – and we couldn't agree more.

PitouIndie sensation returns with kaleidoscopic album
Fri 7 Aug 2026Three years ago, Pitou took the music world by storm with her debut Big Tear, widely hailed as one of the year’s best indie records. Now the singer, composer and producer is back with P2, a rollercoaster of emotions and creative flair. Pitou was born in Amsterdam and studied at the conservatory which is right around the corner of the Muziekgebouw. She is thus on home soil as she hits the Terrace for what promises to be a captivating, whirlwind show.
Folk, indie, dance, and electronica come together in Pitou’s music, with her versatile voice serving as the anchor. While music often serves as a release valve for life’s darker corners, on P2, Pitou welcomes everything – embracing euphoria, joy and madness alike. After all, music is always with her, during the good times and the bad. This process-driven, DIY approach has resulted in a unique, kaleidoscopic album that celebrates life’s highs and lows.

Dancing through the centuries
Amiri HarewoodLively piano music from Bach to Adès and Uzoigwe
Sun 2 Aug 2026Pianist Amiri Harewood is a rising star in the British music scene, taking audiences by storm. He made his Dutch debut in 2025 during the Grachtenfestival, performed at the Royal Albert Hall with the Chineke! Orchestra, and was named a Classic FM Rising Star in that same year. In this recital, he juxtaposes core repertoire by J.S. Bach with contemporary music by the British composer Thomas Adès and the Nigerian composer Joshua Uzoigwe, with dance serving as the common thread.
Bach’s French Suite No. 4 and Partita No. 4 are composed of a series of characterful dances, each with its own atmosphere and tempo. Adès, himself a gifted pianist, engages in a dialogue with Chopin’s mazurkas and masterfully brings them into the here and now. The programme concludes with Egwu Amala by the Nigerian composer Uzoigwe, a work inspired by the traditional dances of the Aboh and Ogbaru women in Nigeria.
